Trauma-Informed Yoga Training

Veterans Yoga Project Mindful Resilience Training (2020)

Trauma: Tantra Hatha Yoga (2022) with Holle Black, Co-Founder of Centering Youth

I have eight years of experience working with Combat Veterans and Military Families and four years of experience working with Families of the Fallen. With these professional roles comes hundreds of hours of training to work with people suffering from grief and trauma.

After years of dropping in and out of yoga classes, I finally found my practice at a difficult time in my life. Yoga changed everything; I felt a calling to deepen my understanding and share it with others. Yoga has helped me become more in tune with my body, given me a stronger sense of self, and the tools to find mental and emotional space amidst great tragedy, personal loss, and everyday stress.

My personal and professional journeys have taught me compassion and given me the gift of great empathy. Through personal challenges and my daily work as a Department of the Army Survivor Outreach Services Coordinator serving Families of the Fallen, I have learned how to walk into fire with others, sit with them, and guide them out of the flames.

As a teacher, I help students reunite with their inner selves. Using asana, pranayama, and meditation I encourage students to feel at home in their bodies to get in touch with their emotions. My goal is for my students to feel safe in their practice and empowered when they step off their mats.
